Project leader Ralph Langanke informed the young audience in his presentation entitled “startup opportunities for chemists in Berlin” and remained available for questions and comments in the panel discussion following his talk.

Inkulab supports those interested in startups who have achieved potentially profitable research results and wish to start their own companies. In addition, young companies with existing financing can make use of its laboratory and consulting services. Inkulab thus closes a gap in technology transfer between research and development of marketable products or services during the early stages of a startup’s life.

Inkulab is a project that was acquired by the Innovations-Zentrum Berlin Management GmbH (IZBM), the TU Berlin, and the Cluster of Excellence UniCat.

Inkulab is funded by the Berlin business sector: The Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry funds projects in the area of career and academic education as well as knowledge transfer. “Inkulab” was chosen in 2015 from a number of submitted project proposals as one of currently eight funded educational projects.
