Three PhD students of BIG-NSE and UniCat succesful

Sara Bruun, Ann-Katrin Jungton (both HU Berlin) and Juliane Ratzka (TU Berlin) made it: They raised funds of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for three exchange stipends. This exchange is part of the summer internship programme RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) of DAAD in cooporation with the German Research Foundation (DFG). About 350 candidates out of 1.200 applicants were awarded an internship. Three of them are coming to UniCat. Inauguration of UniCat's miniplant

Yesterday, UniCat's new miniplant was opened with a small ceremonial. Prof. Matthias Driess welcomed about 30 guests, and especially representatives of the supporting companies: Siemens, Endress+Hauser, and Schmidt and Haensch. Prof. Wozny gave a short overview on the miniplant, its construction, and its working mode. The miniplant will be used for the oxidative coupling of methane to ethylene.
